Aldridge is one of the six rookies in the set's /99 summit, which is the cleanest way to understand 2006-07's rookie hierarchy. He gives the class a serious long-career cornerstone beyond Brandon Roy's immediate peak and Rajon Rondo's later hobby re-evaluation.

Rondo is the card that keeps seasoned collectors from dismissing the /225 continuation as mere filler. Cardboard Connection ranks his 2006-07 Exquisite rookie at #8 all time and explicitly calls it the underrated Exquisite rookie, which gives this part of the checklist real long-term significance.
